The Orthodox School of Theology at Trinity College, University of Toronto, offers Canada's only ATS-accredited Orthodox Master of Divinity (MDiv) and Master of Theological Studies (MTS) degrees.

An integrated part of the Faculty of Divinity of Trinity College, the school benefits from all the library and curricular resources of the University of Toronto and the Toronto School of Theology, with a full range of Orthodox theology courses taught by instructors drawn from a variety of Orthodox traditions.

Do you want to learn more about your Orthodox faith? Studying theology enables us to strengthen our Christian identity and deepen our knowledge of God and life of prayer and mission, as well as equip ourselves for positions of leadership and teaching within the church.

The Orthodox School of Theology at Trinity College welcomes all Orthodox Christians, from both 'Byzantine' and 'Oriental' traditions, as well as Eastern Rite Catholics and Western Christians who are interested in the history, faith and life of the early church and the Christian East.

Adult learners seeking a mature and rich knowledge of Orthodox tradition may enrol in any of the individual courses at the Orthodox School of Theology at Trinity College. Most classes are taught in evening, for benefit of students with jobs.

Taking seven individual courses (whether as an auditor or for credit) will earn you a Certificate in Orthodox and Eastern Christian Studies. Completing 14 courses will earn you an Honours Certificate (if audited) or a Diploma in Orthodox and Eastern Christian Studies (if taken for credit).

Taking courses for credit requires a formal admission to Trinity for either the Master of Theological Studies or Master of Divinity degree programme.

A regular cycle of Orthodox worship services are held in the chapel at Trinity College, including every Sunday morning, in conjunction with Holy Myrrhbearers Orthodox Mission.
